I always complain that I have too much on my plate, and yet, 90% of the time, it’s my own fault.
Take this week, for example. I decided I wanted to relaunch my Strategy Guide Review website now, move it all to WordPress and its own domain while it has just 100 posts. That line of thinking was just fine, but did I have to choose the week Shawn was out of town and I had to work on Content Solutions‘ own website relaunch? Probably not. But when I get an idea in my head, it’s hard to get it out. The good news is that both relaunches occurred today, and they both look great. I’ve gotten a ton of positive feedback on the SGR site from my guide contacts, and so far, my boss is pleased with the content on our professional site. (In case you did look at it, 90% of the writing is all me.)
And then this weekend, my friend Christi and I are going to start our own gaming website for women. Aside from GamingAngels, there really isn’t much out there for gamer girls. We aren’t going to try for anything nearly as ambitious as that website, but it will be a blog about what games we are playing, our take on the gaming industry, news, and how we fit games into our busy girl lives. It will be a lot of hard work, but I think it will also be fun. Once that’s official out, I’ll be making an announcement about that as well. And speaking of GamingAngels, I’m going to have a piece published there sometime next week! Soon I’ll be spread out allllll over the Internet.
