Today, my last full day in Los Angeles, has been CAH-RAY-ZEEE. The craziness started after I was kicked out of the Warner Bros. booth after playing Super Scribblenauts for two minutes after waiting for nearly fifteen. Was anybody else who had been playing for the last fifteen minutes asked to leave? Noooooo. Not sure why I was singled out, but I didn’t feel like arguing and I had other places to be. Next was trying to go see Video Games Live. I bought tickets over the phone, and I had no print or electronic confirmation since I was picking them up at will call. It just so happened that the Lakers’ final game was taking place NEXT DOOR and the cops had most of the cross streets blockaded due to mid-game rioting. I got the pleasure of arguing with each set of cops to let us through. The guys I was with kind of stood back and let me yell at the police. I still can’t believe we made it to the concert hall in time. And just thirty minutes ago, the hotel manager came to our room and said if we received one more complaint, he was going to kick us out. You have no idea how pissed I would be if I got kicked out of my own hotel room because other assholes don’t know what an inside voice is.
Oh and not to mention that some other jerk decided to steal one of my swag shirts out of my bag on the showroom floor.
I suddenly want to re-experience that earthquake we had on Monday. That wasn’t nearly so exasperating, just terrifying.
