It never ceases to amaze me about how I constantly feel busy but yet not feel like I’ve done anything. Today I was thinking about how I hadn’t written anything here in awhile, but then I couldn’t come up with anything to say.
Not much has changed. I still work for one thing or the other all the time, I’m getting ready for E3, watching the news regarding Japan, drinking lots of Starbucks, and of course, playing lots of games. I did finally do what I’ve been saying I needed to do for awhile: I told my editor that my current game reviews are my last game reviews. Reviewing a game in a timely manner always stresses me out, because I don’t have that much time to game everyday, and I’m not guaranteed any time on weekends, unlike many reviewers. I felt bad to quit on reviews, but at least now I don’t feel as stressed. I have one more game to review and that should be it.
I did start a new gaming site this week, of all the crazy things. I proposed writing news haiku to my editor, and he loved it. So then I looked into dedicating a whole gaming site that reports all gaming news and reviews in haiku. No one has done it yet, to my surprise, so I bought a few domains and then started up a free WordPress.com site. After my first haiku, four of my friends asked if they could join in. There’s no structure, no schedules, and we’re having a blast. My friend Lee has been contributing some of the funniest haiku about retro games. I hope this works out in some weird way and he sticks around.
The puppies are now so big, it’s hard for me to call them puppies anymore. They’re about the size of Bond, and it looks like they’re finally housebroken. Toby is doing well in his class despite me neglecting to do our homework as often as I should. I’m very eager for Buffy to start class next, because she is a troublemaker. And she’s stubborn. Never a good combination. Pictures will come…eventually.
